Over the past 15 years, I've had the unique opportunity to serve within large influential churches with thousands of people, as well as smaller churches with congregations of hundreds. Over this time I've gained experience in building teams, helping to shape culture, and establishing a great rapport with musicians. I’m also a songwriter that has released many songs through our worship ministry (Harbor Point Worship). Because God still keeps pouring songs in my heart, I hope to continue writing and finishing more projects in the future.

My heart as a worship pastor is to pursue worship with integrity, in the understanding that worship extends beyond Sunday mornings. My approach is my conviction and that is; “I don’t lead worship, I lead people into worship”. It's about connecting with people at a heart level. Being a worship pastor, not a song leader. “Worship leaders, lead songs - worship pastors, pastor the experience.”

I entered the worship ministry through mentorship and discipleship. Because I was the recipient of this, I not only agree with it but I enjoy mentoring and developing others as well. I’ve been honored to be a part of mentoring younger worship leaders and musicians who are now leading worship for their local church ministries.

Don Chapman of  Worship Ideas visited me and my wife as we led worship and wrote about the experience on his online magazine, characterizing it as "Excellent", and “A few steps above". It is one of our deepest joys to use music and creativity to pastor an environment that inspires and points people to Jesus.

I can’t leave out from this cover letter my wife, Lauren. She is an amazingly authentic and gifted worship leader. I admire her in so many ways. While serving on the worship team and MOPS leadership, she also naturally gravitates towards mentoring young adults. I don’t take for granted that we make a strong team together. I’m blessed to have her in my life and as a partner in ministry. We desire to be part of a church culture that values healthy families and is unwavering in its biblical integrity. Our call is to lead people in worship to Jesus and live out the gospel in authentic ways to the people around us. We don't have all the answers and we do this imperfectly but we love that we get to do this together as a family.
